There was another door on the other side. “There’s another door over there,” Peter told the group. They made there way to this doorway and it was also unlocked so they continued through it. On the other side was more hallway lit by torches. They could see ahead of them that the hallway went right. It also smelled danker here. The air felt more humid. Despite this they pushed on. As they walked the hallway turned right, left, left, right, left. It wasn’t branching off any, just turning. The air becoming more humid and now smelling strongly off swamp. Finally, they came to an open doorway. Water pooled over the edge into the hallway.  There was another door on the other side. “There’s another door over there,” Peter told the group. -Inside the doorway was a large room with an entire village sitting atop a swamp.+Inside the doorway was a large room with an entire village sitting atop a swamp. It was a small village. Lizardfolk guards milled around sloshing through the water. A shaman stood atop a stage chanting before a pedestal containing a black orb of shiny stone. Mortimer clasped his hands together, red magick flowing off of them. “Shouldn’t be much of a problem for you two,” he said, pushing his hands at Karns and Mothman. Red magick flowed into them. Karns and Mothman felt energy surge through them. Their muscles pulsed with power, begging to be unsheathed.

+Mothman flew out of the tunnel at impossible speed barreling at the nearest lizard guard. Before getting out a word, Mothman had already lobbed his head off. Karns sprinted into the room, making it to the stage with the shaman before anyone gave notice of his intrusion. His fist flew like lightning uppercutting the shaman into the air. Grabbing the shaman’s leg he then slammed the lizardman back down knocking away what was left of the creature’s breath. Karns other fist came down like a meteor crushing the shaman’s head like a watermelon. Mothman switched to his claws and began shredding through two more lizardfolk guards when a cry came out from one the villagers.

+“Please, you must stop this,” the voice begged, “Why have you attacked us unprovoked?” “Oh, my gods,” Peter muttered. Peter ran out raising his hands to cease the violence. “Karns, Mothman stop,” Peter exclaimed. Karns and Mothman looked around confused. “I cannot express my sorrow in my party’s actions,” Peter said. “You must take the orb since you have slain our shaman,” the lizardman explained. “Take it, leave, and know that we offer you no ill will nor forgiveness for your actions,” he continued. Mothman fluttered over to the orb, eyeing it. The aura of the orb upset Mothman. He raised his axe and brought it down on the orb. When contact was made a jolt of dark lightning struck Mothman knocking him several feet back and stunned him.

+“That was ill informed furry one,” Karns exclaimed. Karns reached his hand out gently towards the orb, getting closer as slow as he could, eventually his fingers brushed the glossy surface. The orb swirled with mist but gave no attack. Karns picked the orb up gingerly, gazing into the swirling center.
